◆Galileoが３連覇
　１位は３年連続でGalileo。Galileo→Montjeuのワンツーは２年連続となる。2011年には８頭いた３歳の欧米G1ホース（うち５頭がクラシックホース）が２頭（いずれもクラシックホース）と大きく減少したが、2011年が凄すぎただけのこと。Frankel、Nathaniel、Golden Lilacの３頭が４歳を迎えてもG1勝ちを収めたのは評価できる。New ApproachがDawn Approachを出して世代交代かと思いきや、直仔からレーシングポストトロフィー-英G1を勝った２歳馬Kingsbarnsも出しており抜け目がない。

　2012年３月に死亡してしまったMontjeuは直仔のG1馬も７頭→３頭に減ったが、最高傑作とも言えそうなCamelotを出し、５歳を迎えたSt Nicholas AbbeyもG1勝ちを果たしており内容は悪くなかった。

　３位のInvincible Spiritは前年11位からの浮上だが、2010年は６位だったので返り咲きというほうが近い。Mayson（ジュライＣ-英）、Moonlight Cloud（モーリスドゲスト賞-仏、ムーランドロンシャン賞-仏）、Rosdhu Queen（チェヴァリーパークＳ-英）の４頭がＧ１勝ちを収めている。

　Dawn Approach（デューハーストＳ-英）を出したNew Approachが１世代だけで42位にランク。当然、新種牡馬１位となる。2013年はどこまで順位を上げてくるか注目だ。
